This role works closely with the Shop Foreman to ensure the shop operates efficiently, productively, and safely.The Lead Hand steps in to manage operations in the Shop Foreman’s absence and contributes to the success of daily production targets. If you have strong leadership skills, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in a hands-on industrial environment, this opportunity is for you.#### What you will do:* Support the Shop Foreman with day to day operations including coordinating schedules, staff requirements, and equipment management* Act as the primary contact in the Shop Foreman’s absence* Assist with shop organization, testing, diagnosing, and measuring incoming jobs* Resolve production challenges and support workflow efficiencies to meet performance and quality standards* Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment and help develop employee skills* Maintain adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality, productivity and safety.* Participate in production and assist across various departments as required#### Qualified candidates will possess the following skills/qualities:* 2 years of previous leadership experience is a strong asset* Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment, with knowledge of shop flow* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to involve staff in decision-making* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with teams and management* Highly organized with effective time management and prioritization abilities* Commitment to promoting a safe and efficient work environment* Ability to work in an industrial setting, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive tasks#### What we have to offer:* Financial rewards for your hard work and dedication and a potential performance based quarterly bonus.* Enjoy peace of mind with paid vacation and sick time, taking care of your well-being.* Take advantage of comprehensive benefits, including a health spending account and RRSP matching program, life insurance and disability program.* Grow professionally and unlock your potential with opportunities for development.At West End Radiators, we take pride in providing unparalleled quality and service to our customers.
