Job Title: Traffic & Transportation Engineer Designation: P.Eng designation or the ability to register with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) Education: Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering – Interest or Concentration in Transportation Job Summary: Our client is currently seeking a Civil Traffic & Transportation Engineer to join their Municipal/Land Development Transportation Design Group in Ottawa, Ontario Job Duties: Traffic impact analysis and report preparation, including: coordinating traffic counts, calculating growth rates, trip generation, assessing traffic impact at access locations/nearby intersections, and compiling recommended roadway improvement Develop design concepts into preliminary designs, including: preparation of design briefs, detailed geometry and general layout development, as well as other infrastructure elements Preliminary cost estimates Use and expand knowledge of current industry practices and standards and undertake engineering analysis following these approved standards and procedures. Attend/prepare presentations for Public Open House/Planning Committee Meetings as required Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering – Interest or Concentration in Transportation P.Eng designation or the ability to register with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) 4+ years of experience Field or Site Work experience an asset (survey, inspection) Knowledge of the following software would be an asset: Synchro Ver. 8 Traffic software, Rodel-v1Win (Roundabout software), AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Applications Excellent communication skills, technical writing skills Independent, displaying a high level of commitment #J-18808-Ljbffr
