Position Overview The Unit Clerk performs clerical, receptionist and communication functions within the nursing team at Boundary Trails Health Centre. Responsibilities include exercising independent judgment, prioritizing work, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting the unit’s daily operations in alignment with Southern Health‑Santé Sud’s mission, vision and values. Location and Hours Location: Boundary Trails Health Centre, Winkler, Manitoba Employment Type: Permanent, 0.5 FTE, In‑Person Shift: Days, Evenings, Weekends (7.75 hours/day) Experience Minimum one (1) year experience in a related clinical area. Education Grade 12 education or equivalent. Unit Clerk Certificate (preferred). Other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered. Certification / Licensure Not applicable. Qualifications and Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and e‑mail. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize in a changing environment. Excellent organization skills. Ability to build and maintain respectful, positive relationships with all staff. Approach respectful toward a culturally diverse population. Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) is essential for bilingual positions. Ability to maintain confidentiality in paper, electronic and other formats. Good work and attendance record. Valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all‑purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000. Physical Requirements Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job. No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. Required to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
