Our welding equipment is state-of-the-art compared to other industries, and we also produce various types of boat lifts from PWC to yachts. Our facilities have substantial roto-molding capabilities, which we use to manufacture plastic components like anchors, floats, and drive-on ports. The position involves both leading and supporting projects across various development phases, from start to finish, providing mechanical design solutions and analysis solutions to meet design specifications. Design projects with management include, but are not limited to, concept definition to implementation into volume manufacturing.

Duties

  • Fixturing design to support product development and process engineering.
  • Perform design risk assessments and define appropriate mitigations.
  • Perform detailed statistical tolerance analysis of products and test fixturing/assembly tooling.
  • Generate documentation including design specifications, part drawings, assembly drawings, Bill of Materials, common feature drawings, and process flows.
  • Support the definition and management of project plans to meet end deliverables and help coordinate activities within the multidisciplinary development team.
  • Support prototype builds and engineering design verification to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Perform QA/QC review and develop the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope.
  • Write new specifications sections and develop new details as required for project needs.
  • Revise existing drawings and welding procedures, assist with component ordering (i.e., p>
    • Experience in conceptual design, design reviews, and engineering change control processes.
    • Expertise in custom equipment substantiation such as structures, hoisting/lifting systems, and mechanical drive/positioning systems.
    • Proficiency in 3D CAD systems and FEA.
    • Understanding of manufacturing techniques, welding procedures, and inspection techniques.
    • Candidate should have an engineering Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering with 5-10 years of fabrication and design experience.
    • 3D Modeling experience will be considered an asset; SolidWorks strongly preferred.
    • Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country in which the position is based with no restrictions.
