Are you a skilled professional in both risk management and claims coordination within industrial or construction environments? We are hiring a dynamic professional for our Calgary head office, who can proactively manage enterprise risk, oversee insured claims—ranging from property damage to injury—and coordinate with workers compensation processes to ensure optimal outcomes for our organization.This unique position merges strategic risk management responsibilities with hands-on claims and risk coordination. You will identify and manage enterprise risks, develop policies and processes for claims handling and supplier compliance, and serve as a critical link between safety, legal, insurance, and operations teams.ResponsibilitiesManage claims through adjudication with WCB Alberta, WorkSafe BC, and insurance carriers, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-throughDevelop, track, and report on organizational risk exposures and work with leadership to mitigate these proactivelyBuild structure, policy, and processes in ambiguous or grey areas within risk and claims managementCollaborate closely with Safety, Legal, Procurement, and Insurance partners to ensure alignment and efficiencySupport supplier and subcontractor pre-qualification and compliance risk management in collaboration with ProcurementProvide strategic insights and recommendations for risk management that integrates claims and operational safetyServe as a point of contact and ensure claims management teams perform as expectedRequirementsPost-secondary education required; certifications in risk management or related fields are an assetExperience preferably from industries with significant field-level risk exposure such as industrial, construction, or operational environmentsComfortable managing ambiguity and building structured approaches in evolving contextsSelf-motivated and able to work across multiple teams and roles with minimal supervisionExcellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skillsFamiliarity with workers compensation and insurance claims processesProficient in MS Office, risk tracking, and case management softwareHighly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong knowledge of workers’ compensation board regulations and timelinesStrong analytical skills to interpret claims and cost data for actionable insightsWhy BURNCO?Be part of a supportive, high-performing team that values your growth and successEnjoy competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and moreExperience our inclusive, collaborative, and safety-focused cultureTake part in team events, professional development activities, and community initiatives #J-18808-Ljbffr
