OverviewOCDSB Secondary Occasional Teachers List. Join to apply for the OCDSB Secondary Occasional Teachers List role at Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB).ResponsibilitiesOccasional Teachers replace short term absences in OCDSB schools and are an integral part of the district.QualificationsMust be in good standing or pending certification with the Ontario College of Teachers as of October 31, 2025.Must hold both Intermediate and Senior qualifications.Must hold two (2) teachable subjects (which exist within the OCDSB).Application ProcessAll applications must be submitted through Apply to Education.EducationPlease enter as much information as possible in your Apply to Education profile as this information will be used for the initial screening process, including:Personal contact informationTeachable subjects including those you are formally qualified with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)Language skillsTeaching experience including start and end datesEducation history, lived experiences, etc.Ensure your OCT number is entered in the Qualifications page of your Apply to Education portfolio.Additional documents such as teaching qualifications/licenses, diplomas/certificates, practicum reports, teaching evaluations, and reference letters are optional.ApplytoEducation will send an email acknowledgement to all applicants confirming receipt of their application to this competition.InterviewsWe thank all applicants in advance for their interest; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.The OCDSB will contact candidates using the email addresses listed on their Apply to Education portfolios.Following the closure of this competition (October 30, 2025) candidates that are selected for an interview will receive an email in November 2025.
