Work schedule: The successful candidate will be required to work days, evenings and nights on weekdays, weekends and holidays as required. The successful candidate must also have availability for on-call nights. Please note schedules may change due to operational needs.
Compensation: UOPS 07
Range: $36.84 - $50.24

- Ability to work independently in a core lab setting in the disciplines of Specimen Collection and Processing, Hematology, Chemistry and Transfusion Science.
- The successful candidate enjoys working in a team-oriented environment, and has excellent technical, communication, leadership and customer service skills.
- Member of the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario.
- General Certification in Medical Laboratory Technology from the CSMLS.
- Experience in a core laboratory setting including phlebotomy skills and ECG are assets.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Experience with a Laboratory Information System - Meditech experience is ideal.
- Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic multi-tasking laboratory.
- Familiarity with Ontario Laboratory Accreditation Requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work well within a team and take leadership role when called upon.
- Strong customer service focus and job commitment.
- Demonstrates a positive and professional outlook in a rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital-related policies and health and safety legislation.
