Mission Under the leadership of the Human Resources Director, the nurse is responsible for providing medical, psychosocial, and post‑traumatic services on the mining site. They are the first responder in the event of a workplace accident and then refer the patient to a doctor. They have training in an expanded role and monitor occupational health and safety records as well as absenteeism. Day-to-Day Provide medical, psychosocial, and post‑traumatic services on the mining site and respond to emergencies. Monitor the personal and occupational health issues of site workers. Provide and coordinate appropriate health care according to workers' needs and authorized protocols. Collaborate with the medical advisor when necessary. Ensure the smooth administrative functioning of the clinic, particularly regarding the pharmacy, medical equipment, inventories, and orders. Collaborate with the human resources department to manage absenteeism and CNESST files. Provide training on medical topics to targeted employees as needed. Train first responders at the Whabouchi mine site to maintain their skills. Conduct medical examinations and screening tests for substances that may impair the ability to perform job-related tasks. Participate in the implementation of education and awareness programs aimed at promoting and maintaining the health, safety, well‑being, and quality of life of workers. Create or collaborate in the creation of health service procedures, in partnership with other nurses, and participate in the procedures of other departments when requested. Perform any other related tasks. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in nursing. Up‑to‑date CPR training required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training an asset. PHTLS an asset. More than 5 years of experience, preferably in a remote area, in an expanded role or in an emergency room. Experience working in a multicultural environment. Member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec (OIIQ). Confidence, adaptability, autonomy, and ability to manage stress well. Emergency and priority management. Proficiency in medical technologies such as defibrillators, electrocardiograms, etc. Bilingualism (French, English) is an asset. Appropriate computer skills (Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Concern for the health and safety of all workers. Versatility, thoroughness, and rigor.
