OverviewJoin to apply for the Learning Experience Designer role at Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). WSIB is a leading non‑profit insurance organization covering over five million people across more than 300,000 workplaces in Ontario, providing wage‑loss benefits, medical coverage, and no‑fault insurance.This temporary position (up to 12 months) requires a collaborative, client‑focused instructional designer skilled in learning experience design, curriculum development, and technology integration. The role supports WSIB’s commitment to continuous learning and inclusion across all offices.ResponsibilitiesAdvise on learning strategies, selecting modalities and delivery channels that align with business goals.Conduct learning needs analyses, research, and stakeholder interviews to identify performance gaps and develop learner‑centered solutions.Create and manage learning content, including performance‑based objectives, storyboards, scripts, and facilitator guides, using tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft 365.Design, prototype, test, and implement learning experiences (virtual, in‑person, social, self‑paced, and eLearning) that maximize engagement and knowledge transfer.Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate content into effective learning products and curate existing learning artefacts.Implement quality assurance, using SCORM/xAPI standards and measuring learning effectiveness through assessment plans.Support roll‑out by planning, publishing content to LMS and repositories, and assisting facilitators and learners with troubleshooting.Maintain inclusive design, ensuring accessibility for all learners and participating in WSIB’s change initiatives.QualificationsUndergraduate completion in education, adult education, instructional design, eLearning development, graphic design, or user experience design.Five years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or learning development, with expertise in design thinking and learning management systems.BenefitsSalary Grade 213 – $97,184.05.
