On-Board PMO is hiring a Full-time Quality Inspector in Valley View, OH On-Board PMO, Incorporated is an on-site contract service provider for a local manufacturing entity offering full-time positions to our employees. Position Details Title: Quality InspectorType: Full TimePay: $25.00 per hourLocation: Valley View, OHBenefits: Complete benefits package available after 60 daysSchedule: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shifts $1,000 Sign-On Bonus Job Summary The Quality Inspector applies general knowledge of quality systems and requirements to assure compliance, makes recommendations to management, reviews data and monitors compliance with customer specifications. Responsibilities Evaluates and reviews data using statistical methodology and monitors compliance with customer specifications Makes recommendations to management personnel based on this information Starting Rate First Shift – $21.50/hour. Upon completion of training and obtaining a Certified Operator Stamp within 90 days, receives a $1.00 increase. The employee may request the Certified Quality Inspector book after obtaining their COP Stamp; the company pays for the book and test (one time). After passing the test and obtaining certification (valid life‑time in the U.S.), receives an additional $1.00/hour increase. Second and Third Shift – $22.00/hour (includes .50 cent shift differential). Upon completion of training within 90 days, receives a $1.00 increase. Upon obtaining a Certified Operator Stamp within 90 days, receives a $1.00 increase. May request the Certified Quality Inspector book after obtaining their COP Stamp; the company pays for the book and test (one time). After passing the test and obtaining certification, receives an additional $1.00/hour increase. Requirements Inspector must have significant process experience and quality knowledge and training to make appropriate business-based decisions. Six years plus experience in the aerospace industry is required (or equivalent). Strong inspection background, with ability to use gauges, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and bench setups on surface plates. Strong knowledge of manual measurement gauges. Experience with CMM and Micro Vu reports. Experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), blueprint reading, and quality audits associated with the aerospace industry. Knowledge of CMM on aerospace parts is a plus, with close working tolerance of ± 0.0002 on parts. Knowledge of SPC is very helpful. HS Diploma or GED required. Professional experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written work instructions. This position is located in an industrial environment; all employees are expected to follow safety rules, meet production expectations, and uphold quality standards. Training Requirements At DVV/SW, Inspectors are required to acquire in‑house training to meet the requirements of the Certified Operator Program (COP), a 5‑level training program designed to satisfy corporate and customer standards and norms. Basic COP requirements must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
