As a Senior Procurement Specialist working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will support new and ongoing project growth and challenge industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will manage the bid to procure cycle for the purchase of specialized equipment, materials, subcontracts, and services.

What You Will Do
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of working in a Project management environment.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Project budget and schedule.
  • Participate in assessing requirements of forthcoming packages, contributing to the development of Construction Work Packages (CWP's), specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and negotiate contract terms, delivery, and ensuring deadlines are met while on budget.
  • Invite tenders, consult with suppliers, and review quotations.
  • Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions or recommend contract awards to suppliers.
  • Negotiate with current and potential suppliers to obtain the best price and favorable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with Supply Chain vendor accreditation process.
  • Advise project team of critical information, such as specification changes, delivery status, price changes, etc.
This role could be for you if you have
  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Commerce or Economics.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a similar role on construction projects.
  • Supply chain management designation such as SCMP, CSCL, CSCP, or CPSM preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of procurement procedures and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $111,000 - $151,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate's experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program.
