The typical salary range for this role falls between $111,286 – $148,385 per annum, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity, with future opportunities for performance-based pay and career progression. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between 85% and 90% of the control point, based on the qualifications and experience required for the role. Through performance-based annual increases, employees may be compensated above 90% of the control point. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including a defined pension plan, employer paid benefit premiums starting from your first day, and more.

About the Role

Under the direction of the dean, the associate dean assists, organizes and manages functions that facilitate successful working relationships with faculty, staff, university administration, and communities. The associate dean works with the dean and other academic colleagues to establish and implement new initiatives with commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, scholarly activity and student success. The associate dean must have thorough knowledge of faculty programs, an understanding of university governance, as well as experience working in the unionized environment.

Experience, Competencies & Qualifications

  • A Masters or other relevant advanced degree, completed Doctorate preferred, in a relevant discipline considering the Faculty programmatic foci.
  • A minimum of five years combination of post-secondary teaching and administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated acumen with university governance.
  • Consideration will be given to candidates with equivalent combinations of education and experience.
