Your opportunity The Office of the Registrar at U of T Mississauga delivers registrarial services to support U of T Mississauga’s academic goals and U of T priorities in the areas of student information, interpretation of policies, and innovation of registrarial interactions. Our core mission is effective and sustainable strategic enrolment management: student recruitment, retention, success and graduation. Reporting to the Associate Director, Student Recruitment, the Student Recruitment Officer focuses on local and National recruitment efforts, and works closely with other members of the team to develop and implement strategies and initiatives to assist U of T Mississauga in achieving its recruitment and enrolment objectives. The Officer is responsible for promoting U of T Mississauga and U of T in the secondary school and college constituency and the community at large to recruit the most qualified students to the university. Your responsibilities will include: Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategies Determining appropriate schools to visit based on an analysis of feedback and market trends Delivering student recruitment presentations Promoting programs at recruitment events Advising potential applicants, students, parents, and/or guidance counselors on admissions criteria and processes by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences Conducting post‑event evaluation, analysis and recommendations for changes Preparing draft program reports and summaries from data collected Fostering positive relationships with prospective students Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education Minimum four years’ experience in recruitment in a university or post‑secondary environment Experience in post‑secondary student recruitment and conversant with issues related to student recruitment, admission and university life Experience presenting to diverse groups, and in planning and coordinating group events and/or programs Excellent communication, public speaking and presentation skills Knowledgeable about a variety of high school curricula, English language proficiency requirements and testing options, and U of T admission requirements Outstanding customer service and conflict resolution skills with a proven record of tact and diplomacy Ability to stay organized and manage deadlines within a rapidly changing environment Proficient in Microsoft Office, webinars, social media tools and customer relationship management (CRM) systems To be successful in this role you will be: Adaptable Goal oriented Motivated self‑learner Organized Possess a positive attitude Closing Date: 12/01/2025, 11:59PM ET Employee Group: USW Appointment Type: Budget – Term Schedule: Full‑Time Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 12 – $81,312 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $103,986. This is a TERM position ending February 2027.
