A comprehensive and innovative manufacturer of high-quality office furniture is looking to add a Design Engineer to their growing team

The Role As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new furniture products for the office furniture workplace.

You Will Develop and refine innovative product designs using knowledge of materials and processes for upholstered products, sheet metal, tubular steel, and wood products. Utilize software for design efficiency including SolidWorks and Microsoft Excel. Create bills of material and costing breakdowns utilizing SolidWorks. Utilize design for manufacturing methodologies and work with the manufacturing team to seek continuous improvements. Prototype new product design concepts utilizing 3D printers and advanced manufacturing machinery. The prototyping process may also include analyzing, identifying, and resolving any functionality issues. Ensure product design complies with ANSI-BIFMA industry standards. Liaison with suppliers on product development or process improvement initiative

You Have 6+ years experience of design and product development experience, preferably in the furniture industry Solid knowledge and practical experience with SolidWorks

You Are An excellent communicator (verbal and written) with solid people skills Organized with superior time management skills A self-motivated, team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
