The EHS Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety practices and processes, including the safety and well-being of employees in our production environment, developing and implementing safety programs and procedures, identifying and accessing workplace hazards, conducting safety inspections, investigating workplace accidents. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a safe working environment for all employees.Duties and Responsibilities :Develop and implement Health and Safety policies and procedures.Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulationsProvide training and development programs for staff on health and safety practicesInvestigate incidents and accidents, preparing reports and recommendations forCollaborate with cross functional teams to integrate safety into daily working processes.Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to identify potential risks andLead the development and monitoring of safety performance indicatorsMonitor environmental conditions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.Organize and schedule training for workers to ensure certifications are in dateSupport clients’ Environmental, Health and Safety audit to the plantProvide advice to Senior Leaders with respect to emerging trends, changes to legislation, best practices, and future environmental health and safety initiativesQualifications :University Degree in relevant field and Certificate in Occupational Health and SafetyCertification in Environmental Health and Safety is considered an asset.Over 8 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety in a manufacturing operation and / or supply chain environment, including more than 2 years’ managerial roleExperience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is an asset.Demonstrated ability to enhance existing programs and develop Environmental Health and Safety programs in a manufacturing operations and / or supply chain environmentComprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation combined with advanced training in hazard recognition, assessment, and controlProven success in leading across functional teams as a change agent to influence the safety cultureStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to deliver positive business resultsWe care for our employees :Convenient public transit (bus stop right outside the facility)On-site free parkingOn-site gymEmployee Health BenefitsCorporate Discount ProgramEmployer match for Group RRSP / DDSP ProgramPlease note : Interested candidates are invited to apply via our online application.
