TLS is using Legacy Host/Mainframe system along with FIS Profile Tool to maintain services to our client and business stakeholders. The hiring manager is looking for a mainframe developer who can work independently and lead team of other developers. Also, team member should be willing to learn, understand and participate in future development in FIS Profile Tool (U4). The candidate will have opportunity to participate in solution design and lead development work with support of other team members. In this role, you will:ResponsibilitiesLead and develop small to medium size mainframe based projects.Work on FIS profile tool and make code/functional changes.Support overnight batch cycle and troubleshoot the issue as they come.Work with Business partner, BSA, Architect etc team to develop design/solution for new project/feature.Troubleshoot issue occurring on current system, identify the root cause and fix it.Work with Project manager, scrum master and lead the team of developers.Work with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.Support one or more highly complex business processes.SkillsStrong knowledge of Mainframe system, Languages and tools (COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, MQ, Endevour etc) is mandatory. Candidate should be able understand, update, create new code independently.Willing to learn and later update, create new code using FIS Profile Scripting language.Willing to support overnight batch (pager) on rotation basis.Financial banking experience (preferably in mortgage area) is required.Strong knowledge of SQL and Database is needed.Some Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX (AIX platform) is assets.5+ years of hands-on technical experience in software development and supporting complex large-scale customer facing platforms.Able to work independently and can lead team of developers to deliver required output.
