PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic Alberta-based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing/commissioning of high‑voltage electrical facilities. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from preliminary engineering through to commissioning and startup. Power Systems Studies EIT – Role We are currently seeking a highly motivated Power Systems Studies EIT to join our team on a full‑time basis in our BC office. You will be part of a dynamic work environment with an extremely experienced technical team and will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the engineering and design process. Education & Experience 1–2 years of related electrical field experience, e.g., electrical manufacturing familiarity. Motivation to learn power system studies. Strong verbal communication abilities, good organization, and interpersonal skills. Registered EIT in Canada; P.E. would be an asset. Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, PSS/E (knowledge of WinIGS, CDEGS would be an asset). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel. Strong understanding of IEEE standards and Canadian Electrical Code. Experience in performing the following electrical studies: Load flow, short circuit, protection coordination and arc flash study. Motor starting study. Insulation coordination and transformer energization study. Utility interconnection studies for renewable resources such as wind and solar. Grounding study. Role & Responsibilities Work with the Substation and T&D Line Design team to understand study requirements and provide inputs for equipment specifications/selection. Collaborate with senior engineers on power system study projects. Prepare detailed technical reports and calculations. Participate in client design/review meetings. Assist with study project development, scope, and budget. Coordinate field site visits for data collection, analyze and interpret site data.
