Program Overview In the Traumatic Psychological Injury program, Occupational Therapists work with first responders and other individuals who have experienced trauma in the workplace. Therapists conduct in‑vivo exposure therapy, behavioural activation, and trauma processing, using evidence‑based interventions including virtual reality. The Complex Auto program focuses on clients affected by motor‑vehicle accidents, providing ergonomic assessment, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental‑health treatment, and more. Responsibilities Assess and treat clients with mental, physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments in community settings. Provide in‑vivo OT treatment in homes, workplaces, and community settings. Conduct ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, and cognitive rehabilitation. Facilitate trauma processing and return‑to‑function strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to guide clients through recovery. Qualifications Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for travel up to 1‑1.5 hours. Willingness and ability to deliver in‑vivo OT treatment across varied settings. Strong organizational, critical‑thinking, decision‑making, and analytic skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Empathy and skill in building rapport with clients and stakeholders. Experience in private sector, especially auto‑sector legislation and mental‑health, is an asset.
