TCP/Labourer role at Dawson Group in Carnaby, BC. Seasonal $29.70/hour. Dawson Road Maintenance is looking for Traffic Control People/Labours, who have a good knowledge of safety around equipment, an eagerness to learn, and a strong work ethic.In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working in a temporary, full-time position of Traffic Controller and Labourer reporting to the Road Foreman. We are currently hiring in Carnaby, B.C. and may require some travel throughout our great province.// Click here to learn more about Dawson Road MaintenanceWhat Success Looks LikeMust prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the jobWork collaboratively with all team members to successfully complete tasks at handAbility to perform unskilled manual work requiring little previous training or experience but involving physical effortOperate heavy equipment in all weather conditions, on public roadways in a safe and appropriate mannerFollow direction of the Supervisor regarding daily production schedule and activitiesMaintains a daily activity of work in progress and status of completionMaintain proper care in the use and maintenance of equipmentComplete all work reports and maintenance logsStop, slow, and safely direct traffic through work or construction sitesGive traffic control directions and signals clearly and precisely so that motorists understand their meaningKeep the flow of traffic moving with as few delays as possibleWhat You BringMinimum two (2) years of road maintenance and/or construction experienceValid Class 1 preferred, or 3 Drivers license is requiredTwo (2) years commercial driving experience is an assetBCCSA Traffic Control TicketExperience in snow removal is considered an assetKnowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirementsHeavy Equipment Operating Certificate an assetAble to manage electronic reporting using tabletsMinor equipment maintenanceAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to work shift workBenefitsLooking to be a key member of a well-established family-owned company?
