The Cochrane TemiskamingResource Centre (CTRC) is seeking a Community Support Worker to join its team inTimmins/Cochrane. CTRC is a regional Developmental Services provider offeringprograms across the Districts of Temiskaming and Cochrane including coastalcommunities along James and Hudson Bay. The successful candidate will workcollaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team offering supports toindividuals with Developmental Disabilities, their families and service providers.
Community Support Workers act as the initiallink to CTRC in the intake and case management capacity, by representing theneeds of individual(s) requesting particular services and by completing intakeand acting upon the decisions of the Professional Resource Team regardingservice delivery and assisting individuals and families to access othercommunity supports and government services.
Wages: $ 29.28 – $31.63 per hour
Hours of Work: 75 hours / 2 weeks
QUALIFICATIONS: A Social Service Worker Diploma or Social Worker Degree or proof ofregistration with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers willbe considered as meeting the education requirement.
Must possess a good understanding of socialwork code of ethics and principals and adherence to Ministry and CTRC Policiesand Procedures. Proven ability to work in a diversified environment. Mustdemonstrate conceptual knowledge and self-management ability. Two years’experience in human service field and preferably some experiencewithvarious software programs. A valid Class Gdriver’s license is also required anduse of a vehicle. COVID-19 vaccination mandatory. There will be requirement to travel regularlybetween Timmins and Cochrane.
