Derflan is seeking a skilled Event & Project Coordinator to support our client Microsoft. Must work East Coast hours; living in Eastern Canada preferred. This consulting role provides hands‑on coordination and operational support for a portfolio of large‑scale enablement events and internal initiatives across multiple regions. The successful candidate will manage event logistics, registration workflows, and cross‑functional communication to ensure seamless execution, efficient operations, and high stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal consultant has prior experience supporting Microsoft in either a full‑time or contract capacity and thrives in fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environments that require strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills. Role: Event & Project Coordinator (Consultant Role) Client: Microsoft (via Derflan) Location: Remote (Must work East Coast hours; living in Eastern Canada preferred.) Compensation: $95,000–$115,000 CAD annual equivalent Contract Duration: 6–12 months, with potential for extension Responsibilities Coordinate end‑to‑end logistics for recurring large‑scale enablement events and programs. Manage registration and communication workflows, including attendee validation, approvals, and follow‑ups. Support regional teams and facilitators with scheduling, coordination, and delivery logistics. Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, maintaining visibility for all stakeholders. Collaborate with Microsoft business and field teams to align operational plans with program goals. Identify and communicate potential risks, gaps, or process improvements to drive consistency and efficiency. Support reporting, documentation, and post‑event analysis to inform future executions. Maintain proactive communication and alignment across teams while working East Coast hours. Qualifications 1+ year of direct Microsoft experience (as a contractor or FTE) required. 2–4 years of professional experience in event coordination, project support, or program operations. Proven ability to manage multiple timelines and logistics simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration abilities; comfortable working with stakeholders across multiple time zones. Proficiency with Microsoft tools and platforms (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Self‑motivated, reliable, and capable of executing independently in a remote environment.
