Heavy Equipment Technician

We have been serving the oil industry since 1996; and we lead the way in service, with a focus on safety and environmental responsibility. We have offices located in Mannville & Nisku, AB - looking after all three of our divisions: Vac & Water, Rentals, and Heavy Equipment.
As a Heavy Equipment Technician you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining Bulldog’s fleet of equipment in our Nisku or Mannville location. Our Mannville location, which is approximately 2 hours east of Edmonton and approximately 40 minutes east of Vegreville, has the opportunity to provide accommodations with shift work flexibility.
Responsibilities:- Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble and maintain equipment and perform other routine maintenance work
- Ensure repairs and maintenance follow all provincial and federal transportation safety regulations and guidelines
- Follow the safety program, including all policies, procedures and practices
- Complete work orders upon completion of each job
- Train operators to maintain vehicles while in the field
- Provide field service calls when required
- Ensure the shop is maintained and clean
- 2-3 years industry experience
- Registered HET Apprentice or Journeyperson in Alberta (or province transferrable) is required
- Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Skilled in problem-solving techniques
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test
