Overview Data Analyst role at Manulife Wealth & Asset Management. The Data Solutions Team focuses on Manulife Canada's retirement data within Global Wealth and Asset Management. Reporting to the director of Data Solutions, the successful candidate will extract, manage, structure, and analyze data used by Manulife's group retirement solutions. This role supports existing and new initiatives and measures their long-term benefits to the business. The candidate will promote data usage and availability, suggest improvements, and support multiple data feeds. Responsibilities Build and manage data feeds for the Group Retirement systems (MPS, Salesforce and more) Continuously evolve understanding of information available in systems by working with key users Support various business partners with data solutions related to key initiatives and test-and-learn activities Develop automation processes to extract, transform, and load data for customer behaviours and insights, ensuring data integrity and quality Produce dynamic reports (using data warehouse) highlighting customer insights to drive sales, facilitate campaigns, and support statistical analysis to identify opportunities across inside sales teams Ad hoc automation, data extraction, and reporting projects as required Support the team in other activities: strategy, prioritization, data solutions, etc. Required Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field / experience 5 years’ experience or more in a data analysis/data engineering role is preferred Advanced knowledge of SQL (SSMS), Databricks Preferred Qualifications General knowledge of SSIS and/or other analytics languages (R, Python) would be an asset Expertise toward Canada retirement product Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI Familiar with Microsoft Azure products Back-end knowledge of Manulife administrative system MPS (schema, tables, data points locations, process flow) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and with team members Proactive and inquisitive mindset, continually seeking process improvements Strong organizational skills with initiative and prioritization Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills Ability to work under deadlines Good project management skills Aptitude to identify problems, assess impact, and suggest alternative actions Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset; if in Québec, proficiency in both languages may be required When You Join Our Team We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want We’ll support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion matter As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see About Manulife And John Hancock Manulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider.
