This position is Relief Part Time (0.59 FTE) working rotating day shifts. This relief position will provide coverage until the return of the incumbent.
What Will You Work On? Pharmacists are at the forefront of healthcare, providing essential pharmacy services. Duties include interpreting medication orders and prescriptions, assessing therapeutic suitability, and ensuring medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed, compounded, and labeled.
You will communicate with healthcare professionals and patients to resolve prescription issues, offer instructions on medication use, and participate in medication use evaluations, safety initiatives, quality control activities, and clinical drug trials. You will also ensure all activities comply with legal, professional, and departmental standards.

About This Location: East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH), located in Cranbrook, is an acute care hospital with a medium size Pharmacy offering inpatient and outpatient services. It operates seven days a week during daytime hours and supports pharmacy services to two satellite hospitals and outpatients in the community.
Cranbrook is situated in the southeastern corner of British Columbia. Cranbrook is the business capital and largest city in the Rocky Mountain Region and is an easy drive to Alberta and the US. Qualfications • Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia; and • Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
