Our Collins Aerospace facility in Ottawa is a world leader in wireless communications networking, with products such as high‑data‑rate HF/VHF/UHF modems and the Self‑Configuring Relay Network (SCRN) for ad‑hoc wireless networks. Collins Aerospace Canada is developing the next generation of HF radios that support significant throughput improvements and ad‑hoc networking features, as well as developing Software Defined Radio networking waveforms for customers around the world. We are in need of enthusiastic team‑players to join our team in Ottawa. This role is one of an individual contributor, working under direction of technical leadership. What You Will Do Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of electronic or electro‑mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems. Supports and participates in troubleshooting activities. Able to utilize schematics, procedures, engineering drawings, and follow written/verbal instructions, including test procedures. May assist with operation and configuration of test and demonstration setups. May assist with product and bulk level kitting as well as inventory counting activities. May assist with logistics support functions as required. Qualifications You Must Have Canadian citizenship is required; successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a government of Canada secret level security clearance. Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post‑high‑school training) with less than 2 years of relevant experience. Candidates must be comfortable with spectrum analyzers, voltmeters and oscilloscopes; and proficient users of Microsoft Word and Excel.
