The Division provides a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, transportation and moving expense reimbursement, subsidized housing or housing allowance and isolation allowance in qualifying communities, annual travel reimbursement, reimbursement for approved courses and more Jack River School is a Nursery to Grade 8 school with 513 students. The school is located in Norway House, Manitoba which is a thriving community situated at the picturesque tip of Lake Winnipeg and the Nelson River. The community is fully serviced with a hospital, shopping mall, two community recreation complexes, a post-secondary campus, daily air service and asphalt roads.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education Degree

Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)

A sound knowledge of provincial Physical Education curricula

Previous Physical Education teaching experience

Willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities

Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life

Strong classroom management skills

Experience working in a northern community

Experience working with students with unique needs

A commitment to differentiated instruction

A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices

A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn

Self-motivated
