OverviewTitle: Tax Analyst, Co-op StudentReports To: Tax ManagerPosition Summary:If you would like be a CPA specialized in Tax, then this is a great opportunity for youThe Tax Analyst will work closely with the Tax Manager to assist in income tax compliance, tax provisions, tax reorganization along with other interesting and challenging special tax projects.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and file Canadian tax returns and forms including T2, T3 returns, T5013, T1134 and T106Assist in preparation of the tax provisions under IFRS and forecast for European legal entitiesMaintain Tax Model and supporting documents to minimize the tax exposure, and maximize the tax benefits for the whole organizationAssist in the implementation of tax reorganization and ongoing special tax projectsAssist in the preparation of tax information returns and supporting documentationPrepare tax journal entries and reconciliationsMonitor current tax liabilities and arrange tax paymentsAssist in responding to queries from tax authorities and external tax consultantsHandle tax administrative tasks and other ad hoc requests that are assignedQualifications3rd/4th year student majoring in AccountingAttention to detail and accuracyStrong time management to ensure timely and accurate completionTeam player with good communication skillsAdvanced knowledge of ExcelOvertime may be required during busy periodsIntention to pursue CPA designationPrior experience in tax and/or accounting is considered an assetOtherLocated in Downtown Toronto; Offers a hybrid work arrangement combining in-office and remote work. #J-18808-Ljbffr
