About the Role Title: Workday HRIS Report Writer Location: Remote in Canada OR Mexico The HRIS Analyst job family is responsible for providing overall Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) support to the HR department, managers, employees, contingent workers, and job applicants. This role provides maintenance and support for the Workday HCM system and other HR applications, consults with stakeholders on new HRIS solutions, collaborates with end‑users and technical teams, administers data security within Workday, and responds to inquiries about Workday functionality, access, reporting, and related topics. Responsibilities Respond to employee, manager, and HR staff inquiries about HRIS issues and escalates complex inquiries to appropriate resources within the HRIS team. Provide maintenance and security administration of Workday and other HR systems and perform administrative tasks generated from Workday processes. Analyze Workday system functionality, contribute to system configurations to minimize redundant data collection, troubleshoot and resolve basic system, process, and reporting problems. Create and maintain custom reports using the most appropriate reporting tools to meet specific business needs and refer report requests that require data analysis to appropriate resources. Support HR projects requiring HR systems configuration at the department and/or corporate level, develop basic test scenarios, assist in collection of testing documentation, and identify and advise partners of risks and downstream impacts of proposed changes. Create and maintain process and/or procedural documentation, monitor process and system audits, respond to Internal Audit inquiries, and maintain system records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and audibility. Qualifications High School diploma (required). Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus experience in systems management and reporting tools or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred). 1-3 years HR experience and 1-3 years HRIS experience including cloud-based HR systems enhancement and support (required). Experience administering Workday and report writing experience preferred. Knowledge of HR issues such as employee relations, benefits, staffing, compensation, legal/compliance, and wage and hour (preferred). Excellent customer service skills, effective written and verbal communication, and ability to organize work to meet individual and team objectives (preferred).
