p>We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our well-established downtown practice. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Registered Dental Hygienist (NOC 3222)

Full Time, permanent position, 40 hours weekly

Wage: CAD $47.00 hourly

About the Role:
Identify the dental hygiene treatment plan according to individual patients needs, ensuring that patient oral health is the focus.
  1. Using best practices for infection control including processing instruments and treatment rooms;
  2. Performing medical health history screening and updates;
  3. Dental Hygiene treatment planning, including patient specific preventive dental care (scaling, prophy, fluoride etc. li>
  4. Educating patients by providing oral hygiene instruction, plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions as required;
  5. Collaborating with colleagues during down-time in schedule (Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Dentists and Administration); li>
Requirements:
  1. Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene
  2. Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO
  3. 2 years or more experience as a Dental Hygienist
  4. Experience ensuring infection control
  5. Experience in making assessments of oral health, hard tissue, periodontal conditions, oral hygiene care.
  6. Experience in gathering client’s health history information, ability to assess risks associated with treatment plan
  7. Trained in Covid-19 IPAC regulations in client care.
  8. Experience with Dental software such as SAPPHIRE, Tracker and Abeldent.
  9. Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail
  10. A friendly personality who works collaboratively with a team
