MRB-MAP Stress Engineer

Job Title: MRB-MAP Stress Engineer (evening shift) Shift: Evening shift with flexibility (12pm – 9pm or 1pm-10pm or 2pm to 11 pm) Hybrid mode: flexible Key Responsibilities Support aircraft programs as a static, fatigue, and damage tolerance stress specialist. Review, recommend, and approve MRB stress decisions for reworks and repairs on defects during final assembly line. Provide acceptance justification for defects without repair, removal and replacement of damaged parts, and evaluate equivalent strength capability under different environmental conditions. Develop technical solutions for metallic and composite structures. Work closely with Liaison Engineers to deliver timely stress substantiations for manufacturing and assembly issues. Collaborate with stress engineering teams to resolve key technical issues. Support delivery process by providing technical expertise to internal delivery teams and external customers. Share technical knowledge across FAL sites. Document analyses in stress work files. Success Requirements Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering with minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Experience with MRB or MAP in commercial/business aircraft; prior MRB delegation an asset. Experience in static, fatigue, damage tolerance analysis and finite element analysis. Good command of composite materials (nice to have). Experience designing aircraft structures (airframe). Knowledge of stress calculations/justifications and proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of aeronautical materials. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Proficiency in English (written and spoken); bilingual French/English is an asset. Technical Requirements Knowledge of NASTRAN, PATRAN, HYPERMESH, CATIA V5, NASGRO. MS Office, including Excel and VBA programming.
