Headquartered in Lunenburg, NS, with a site in Mirabel, QC, we operate more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing, and administration. Primary Purpose The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple departments. They will play an important role in fostering a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of lean methodology and the supporting framework, to deliver business transformation. Accountabilities Identify and deliver improvement activity across the business using process improvement methodologies and innovative thinking. Build a continuous improvement environment with key stakeholders to support an ongoing program of change. Lead and facilitate lean and process improvement workshops to drive ideas and solutions. Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and by finding better ways of working. Leverage data analytics and visualization tools to identify trends and process variations and drive actionable insights as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system. Assist in the development and implementation of a ‘best-in-class continuous improvement strategy. Take ownership of change initiatives from evolutionefficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls. Use staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, business analysis and workflow analysis to elicit requirements and drive process change. Work with other departments devise new support material based on revised processes, including training, reporting and systems enhancements. Monitor project risks to foresee and identify potential problems and proactively devise solutions. Ensure business impact and project objectives/dependencies are identified, reported on and managed at all times. Set up a program, deliver coaching and run organization-wide projects. Complete post‑implementation reviews to confirm successful delivery and to ensure improvements can be made for future projects. Participate in CapEx review from a Lean perspective to maximize benefits. Qualifications Post Secondary Degree. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, preferably Black Belt. 5+ years of proven continuous improvement experience. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Leads without authority using influence to encourage group decision making and stakeholder engagement. Ability to set up, facilitate and lead improvement sessions with a range of stakeholders. Experience implementing manufacturing best practices and operational excellence (Lean, Theory of Constraint, VSM, 5S, benchmarking, facility design, etc.). Proficient in developing data analytics and KPI dashboards with experience interfacing and interpreting data from multiple sources including ERP systems. Strong analytical, project and product management skills with a thorough understanding of how to translate business needs into operational requirements. ‘Completer‑finisher’ attitude, taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery in an environment that requires robust metrics to confirm success. Experience designing remediation plans to address productivity and efficiency issues and a track record of following through to ensure closure. Professional interaction with a diverse group of partners, senior managers, and subject matter experts.
