Modalities offered include X-ray, CT, MRI, US, Mammography (including Ontario Breast Screening OBSP), Echocardiography and non-invasive IR procedures. Orthopedic fracture clinics run multiple days per week, adding to the variety of patients seen. Patient complexity ranges based on individual patient needs.Position SummaryThe Diagnostic Imaging department is currently seeking a Casual Patient Access Clerk II to join their team. The Patient Access Clerk is responsible to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging or designate for providing a variety of clerical duties to assist with the efficient and effective operation of D.I. department.Essential QualificationsGrade 12 or equivalentKnowledge of medical terminology – D.I. testing requiredKeyboarding skills and minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. with high degree of accuracy – testing requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, a data base program and demonstrated experience in computer applicationsAbility to deal effectively and cooperatively with all levels of staff, patients, physicians and the publicDemonstrated high level of communication, organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated professional mannerAbility to work in a stressful environmentHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailMust be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job as per the current physical demands analysisPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a hospital or medical office settingTrained in EPIC preferred – training can be provided, but must pass required testingPACS experiencePrevious registration or booking experienceHours of WorkMust be available to work 8 hour day and evening shifts including some weekends.
