Team Leader Field Service Resources, Electrical & Automation

What will you be doing?

As a Team Leader Field Service Resources, you will be responsible for leading and developing a Field Service Resources Team in the AMER Region, Electrical & Automation, in accordance with the strategy, action plan and business needs.

This position reports to the General Manager Field Service Resources.

Candidates are expected to display a high level of critical thinking and reasoning skills, identify as high performers, as well as being self-motivating.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the Field Service demand during the year and define appropriate actions (including recruiting).
  • Development of your team competencies as required to address current and future needs.
  • Ensure that the team is utilized effectively, having the right people in the right place at the right time.
  • Foster strategic relationships with institutes of learning to attract and develop talent.
  • Manage and maintain internal and external relationships, focused on achieving company targets.
  • Facilitate good collaboration with key stakeholders throughout the delivery chain (Sales, Lifecycle Support, Agreements, Technical Service).
  • Contribute to the annual budget preparation and service forecast evaluations.
  • Set the individual performance and development targets of your team.
  • Monitor and control the monthly process KPIs in Resources, seeking to provide information to those responsible for identifying potential failures and improvements through action plans.

  • In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties within their capabilities which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not, of necessity, change the general character or level of responsibility of the post.

Main Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or technical university or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience in a technical service-minded organization is desired.
  • 3-5 years of job-related experience with a technical degree and/or bachelor’s degree, and some project management experience or training is required.
  • Service management skills and/or experience with coordinating service teams is desirable.
  • Experience with Electrical & Automation equipment in a Mechanical/Maritime environment is required.
  • Thorough understanding of the Field Service process.
  • English language proficiency (Spanish and/or Portuguese considered as plus).
  • Be proficient with process tools such as SalesForce (CRM), Qlikview and FS Mobility.

Successful applicants must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

For applicants that reside in BC, the annual salary wage range is $100,000 CAD - $117,000 CAD.

The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education, individual skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration of internal equity.
