OverviewEnriched Living Facilitator - Full Time (2025-8384) at Verve Senior Living. The Village Langley’s purpose is to enable the well-being of those we serve. The role of a Village team member is to facilitate an enriched living experience by fostering relationships; enabling Villagers to control and manage their day; ensuring safety, security and connectedness to what matters to each person; establishing trusting relationships with families; enabling learning of new things; and making meaningful contributions within The Village and surrounding communities. Our success is largely determined by the amount of joy, love and laughter experienced by Villagers, staff, volunteers and the local community.Accountability ObjectiveAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors? Our Enriched Living Facilitators are critical to our communities by empowering people to do the things that matter most to them while providing a comfortable, safe, and nurturing environment, regardless of cognitive or physical limitations. Under the direction of the Health & Wellness Manager, or designate, the Enriched Living Facilitator focuses on enriching Villager lives by ensuring they can make their own choices and lead full lives as independently as they can. Responsibilities include delivering care, facilitating activity programming, serving and preparing meals, and keeping Villager households neat and tidy according to policies and procedures and established standards of care as instructed by the Health and Wellness Manager, or LPN/RN in their absence.Background/QualificationsMinimum of grade 12 education required.Certificate from an approved Health Care Aide program, and a current BC Care Aide Registration. Completion of medical administration certificate.Certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR.Previous experience as a Health Care Aide working with seniors is considered an asset.Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, in English; nurture excellent relations with residents, families and team members.Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet resident care needs, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.Dependable, responsible and able to work well with others in a team or independently; maintains a positive attitude to meet goals and standards.A Villager-oriented individual whose values align with the residence.Must have a valid regional Safe Food Handler’s certificate.Commitment to and understanding of shared leadership, team empowerment, and person-directed care.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in and adhere to continuous quality improvement standards.Collaborate with the care team to provide feedback on care plans based on physical, emotional, social and safety needs of Villagers.Provide care to residents including cognitive, social, and emotional support according to care plans, promoting comfort, safety, and well-being.Support Villagers’ optimal functioning in activities of daily living while respecting their rights and choices.Perform care procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.Observe and report/document changes in Villagers’ physical and emotional condition; monitor vital signs and maintain health records in compliance with legislation.Provide shift reports to oncoming staff; complete documentation accurately and legibly.Assist in monitoring interventions and offer information or suggestions for improvement.Provide ongoing support to co-workers and advocate for Villagers and families to protect Villagers’ rights.Utilize equipment and supplies effectively in accordance with policies, manufacturer’s instructions, and health and safety regulations.Keep Villagers’ living spaces clean, safe, and organized according to residents’ preferences.Engage Villagers to participate actively in The Village Community.Lead household life enrichment activities.As part of a self-led home-making team, participate in housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation/serving.Follow routine practices and infection control protocols, including outbreak management.Administer medications and treatments according to current approved standards of care and procedures.Maintain effective communication with Villagers, families, physicians, and other departments; use appropriate lines of communication with supervisory staff.Perform other duties as assigned by the Health and Wellness Manager or delegate.Comply with all corporate policies and procedures; complete required mandatory training/education.Comply with applicable health and safety legislation and participate in related programs and drills as required.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionHuman ResourcesIndustriesHospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
