Your career at Twilio is in your hands.See yourself at TwilioJoin the team as our next Privacy Governance Manager.About the jobThis position is needed to support the Privacy Governance Team and report to the Director of Privacy Governance within the Legal organization. Your role will provide integral support to the Privacy team, helping them stay on track with company priorities. You will help prioritize and maintain regulatory requirements within the Privacy Governance Team and be a key player in making the Twilio privacy team successful. Additionally, you will work closely with the Privacy Legal team to implement/enhance privacy requirements within the Twilio organization.ResponsibilitiesDrive Privacy and AI strategy among People and IT organizations to support privacy and AI initiatives and business objectivesServe as a senior subject matter expert on privacy matters across Enterprise departmentsLead internal PIA/DPIA for the relevant internal business units in a timely mannerSpearhead collaborative engagement across various departments and identify opportunities for alignment of processesManage externally facing mailbox with a view to implementing automation where possibleDirect enterprise wide initiative such as RoPAs, PIAs and privacy by designLead readiness and compliance efforts for new and emerging Privacy lawsOversee all privacy related matters within Sales and MarketingDevelop and deliver ongoing Privacy and AI education and awareness programsManage privacy professionals within the teamInstill a privacy-by-design mindset across Enterprise departmentsEnsure appropriate documentation to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws and internal policiesCollaborate closely with IT on new applications, identifying Privacy and AI risksOversee website privacy compliance and perform regular audits to identify any potential gapsSupport BCR and other privacy related auditsQualificationsTwilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table5+ years of Privacy ExperienceExperience of high risk privacy reviews and assessmentsExperience in leading and supporting cross functional privacy initiatives such as GDPR, CCPA or other compliance frameworksAbility to partner with teams across the organization to conduct privacy reviews and encourage collaborationData Subject Access Rights knowledge and experienceAbility to lead high performing privacy professionalsAI knowledge and experience of AI adoptionProduct Privacy knowledge and experienceAbility to engage with various cross functional business teams independently and manage work streams with limited oversight and define and operationalize privacy governance requirementsExperience leading or supporting Vendor due diligence programsWork independently to partner with teams across different parts of the organization and guide the business in implementing good data privacy practicesAbility to identify opportunity for improvement and develop proposals for implementationsIAPP Certifications - CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPTOther privacy qualifications/professional certificationsLocationThis role will be remote across Ontario, Canada, British Columbia, Canada and Alberta, Canada.TravelWe prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other.
