Description Position at FloForm Countertops Required immediately, our Winnipeg Branch is seeking a Full-Time Staff Accountant to join the team. FLOFORM Countertops is a Canadian company with its head office in Winnipeg, MB and has 16 branches and 5 manufacturing facilities located in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. FLOFORM manufactures, sells and installs over 20,000 premium surface countertops a year. Established in 1961, FLOFORM is proud to be one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. POSITION SUMMARY : Working with a high degree of independence, the Staff Accountant applies the principles, theories and concepts of accounting to daily tasks. Prepares, analyzes and interprets journal entries, accounts and financial statements. QUALIFICATIONS : Professional Accounting Designation required or close to completing Sound business acumen Advanced computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, and the ability to learn other software programs Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail Ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and respect Effective communication skills Ability to solve problems as they arise Microsoft Dynamics experience an asset DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Prepare monthly journal entries and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts Assist in monthly financial statements preparation Reconciliation of monthly bank statements Ensure internal procedures and policies are being followed by all branch representatives Solid GAAP understanding and financial analysis and variance explanations Other duties of a similar nature as required Benefits : Competitive Wages Medical and Dental Benefits Paid sick days RRSP FLOFORM Countertops offers a positive and fun working environment that rewards those who share in our mission : “To consistently provide our customers the best countertop purchasing experience available.” #J-18808-Ljbffr
