You will be the main point of reference for strategic leadership and execution of internal learning and development initiatives, organizational behavior change strategies, and human resources programs that support engagement and performance. This role reports to the VP of People and will be integral to contributing to the future of scalable computer cooling solutions.About CoolIT SystemsFounded in Calgary, Alberta in 2001, CoolIT Systems is the leading Direct Liquid Cooling technology provider for data centers, supercomputers, and desktop computers. We design and manufacture solutions used by the largest tech companies globally. CoolIT has received recognitions including The Americas’ Fastest Growing Companies 2023 by Financial Times and Deloitte Fast 50/500 awards.ResponsibilitiesLearning & Development: Develop and implement a long-term learning and development strategy aligned with organizational priorities. Lead the design and delivery of internal training programs and professional development initiatives. Oversee social mobilization and behavior change campaigns that support strategic goals. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to expand and enhance learning opportunities.Human Resources Strategy & Operations: Provide strategic HR guidance to senior leaders on workforce planning, engagement, and organizational design. Lead compensation strategy including salary structure, bonus planning, equity programs, and global compliance. Oversee talent reviews, succession planning, and performance management. Advise on and manage total rewards, including global compensation.Team Leadership & Organizational Influence: Lead and develop a high-performing, collaborative team across HR and L&D functions. Set team goals, monitor performance, and manage branch operations and budgets. Drive change management and cultural alignment. Establish and maintain partnerships with internal departments and external stakeholders to enhance HR and L&D impact.Who You AreBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in human resources, learning and development, or organizational development.At least 5 years of direct team leadership experience, including cross-functional and strategic influence.Proven ability to design and implement large-scale HR and L&D programs.Strong understanding of compensation planning, job architecture, and global HR compliance.Advanced skills in project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement.Demonstrated ability to analyze HR data and trends to inform decisions.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree and/or HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD).Experience in behavior change or community social mobilization initiatives.Experience working in global organizations or across multiple locations.Familiarity with tools such as UKG, Mercer, or equivalent HR and compensation systems.SkillsStrategic thinking with strong business acumen.Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.High emotional intelligence and sound judgment.Ability to influence across all levels of the organization.Comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt to change quickly.Commitment to fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.Why CoolIT?We strive to be an employer of choice and reward our employees with career and development opportunities that align to our vision and values.
