In this role, you will manage and guide a team of passionate developers to build features that empower users to discover, explore, organize, and extract value from web content. You will be actively involved in hiring for this team from the start. Your leadership will be essential in creating a collaborative environment where your team can thrive and deliver exceptional features that delight our users. You'll inspire a team that consistently delivers innovative, user-centric features, and your impact will be felt by millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
  • Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Develop the mid-term technical goal and roadmap within the scope of your (often multiple) team(s). Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
  • Drive the planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects that directly enhance the Chrome Desktop experience, and advocate for user-centric design to ensure the features your team builds are both powerful and intuitive.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
