Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements. Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs. Repair roofing systems. Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Install sheet metal flashings. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Qualifications Experience: 2 to less than 3 years in roofing. Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required. Specialization: Conventional and inverted built-up system, modified roofing system. Work Conditions & Physical Requirements At heights, noisy, dusty, dangerous, outdoors. Fast-paced environment, physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg). Repetitive tasks, large workload, work under pressure. Own transportation required. Tools & Equipment Safety equipment/gear. Personal Skills Dependability. Reliability. Team player.
