Joining our operations team means being at the center of everything – maintaining and evolving critical infrastructure that powers the digital world and delivers real impact for our customers, communities and society.ResponsibilitiesQueue Management / Reporting: Review work orders in the queue and handle skilled requests that require deep understanding of standard operating procedures and adherence to commitment times; review expedited requests and redirect to appropriate team members; support cross functional teams by collaborating on customer tickets; maintain detailed written records of all work activity; ensure reporting is complete and accurate; create Purchase Orders (POs) and Purchase Requests (PRs); assign locks and keys where applicable; support creating reports to customers (e.g., power or access); update local asset databases and other systems.Installations: Handle requests requiring skilled rack and stack support of customer equipment; read skilled installation spreadsheet plans and support implementing installations; assist with building and installation of complex installs (e.g., intra-cage fiber tray, ladder rack, cabinets, cable management, grounds cabinets, two-post racks); perform tape changes and backup updates; recognize and raise advanced capacity concerns for infrastructure expansions and cabling; perform quality checks on cross-connects and on-site support tickets and suggest improvements.Cross-Connect: Support cross-connect work requiring deep understanding of operating procedures for installs, terminations, modifications, and testing; install and test cross-connect circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.).Testing / Troubleshooting: Support skilled requests on standard layer 1, 2 and 3 cross-connect certification testing; troubleshoot skilled circuits; assist with advanced testing and troubleshooting.Stakeholder Partnership: Monitor stock levels and coordinate reordering with the appropriate teams; provide escalation support for work order expedites; partner with internal stakeholders on cross functional work.Customer Management: Support customer satisfaction through timely and precise order execution and quality assurance; deliver high-level service and an excellent customer experience; support sensitive customer situations; manage time expectations for new deployments and existing alterations; support customers on-site with access control and escorting services; serve as point of contact for skilled customer requests, exceptions or escalations.Projects: Support advanced installations; provide input and identify problems with drawings; assist with verification of custom projects; support vendors on Data Center projects; perform quality assurance on new customer installations or deployments.Training: Support standard operating procedures and best practices to maintain high service levels; coach others on operations procedures and basic safety; mentor more junior team members as needed.QualificationsTypically requires a high school diploma and 4-6 years of equivalent work experience.Compensation and LocationThe targeted pay range for this position in Canada is 67,200 - 100,800 CAD per year. Pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at posting and may be updated based on business needs.
