Dimensions This position will report to the Dome Maintenance Electrical Supervisor. Purpose Newmont is looking for a skilled Electrician to join our team at the Dome mine site. The successful applicant must have worked in an industrial environment. Essential Duties Responsible for troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance and instrumentation equipment. Responsible for compliance with OHSA, Corporate and Porcupine Environmental Regulations, Safety and Sustainability Standards and the Electrical Safety Authority. Responsible to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals both within the department and cross-department. Must be highly motivated, organized and must be capable of decision-making. Responsible for providing own tools. Assisting in other works areas may be required. Safety Expectations: Responsible for their health and safety Correct and report unsafe practices and conditions Maintain a safe and healthful workplace Make suggestions to improve any aspect of safety Follow all Newmont Porcupine safety policies and procedures Training & Experience Successful completion of apprenticeship contract and successful completion of trade tests through the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development and Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act Must hold an Ontario Construction and Maintenance or Industrial Electrician License; 309A or 442A Understand networking, fiber optics, remote control technologies, PLC’s/ DCS and Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills High level of organizational skill Willing to learn and able to listen Comfortable working alone Working Conditions This position is part of the Dome Maintenance team located at our Porcupine Mine Site near Timmins, ON

In this role, you will work a 5x5x4 schedule. As such, if you do not live near the mine site, we will require relocation. We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
