If you share our passion for people and beautiful automobiles, then we want to talk to you about a new career with AutoCanada Position Overview The Legal Counsel will have 1 to 2 years of experience working at a major law firm and/or large corporation supporting various business units by advising on a wide variety of matters ranging from negotiating commercial contracts, handling litigation and regulatory matters, to advising on a variety of areas of law, including general corporate law, privacy law, consumer protection laws and regulatory compliance affecting the automotive industry. Requirements 1-2 years of relevant post-call experience at a leading law firm and/or large corporation. Strong willingness to learn and self-starter. Ability to work very independently and collaboratively with a broad range of external and internal stakeholders is essential. In addition to sound judgement, the ideal candidate must possess excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen as you will be working closely with various business groups. Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, the Law Society of Alberta, OR the Law Society of British Columbia. Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple competing tasks in a high-paced environment. Litigation experience is considered an asset.
