Senior Project Technologist

Pinchin Ltd. is seeking a Senior Project Technologist to join our Hazardous Materials team in Kingston, ON. The role reports to the Operations Manager and focuses on developing hygiene, health, and safety documentation, preparing technical reports, and liaising with clients to ensure their needs and goals are met. Responsibilities Perform hazardous materials assessments on all types of buildings and structures Conduct on‑site inspections during demolition or removal of hazardous materials Perform mould, indoor air quality, water loss, microbial, Legionella, and infection control investigations Prepare reports, translating assessment findings into actionable recommendations for clients Liaise between clients and contractors; maintain existing client relationships and build new ones Schedule inspections with clients and contractors Assist in preparation of proposals for hazardous materials investigations and abatement work Assist in overseeing hazardous materials consulting projects, including assessments, contract preparation, and abatement work Collect and interpret various environmental samples, including air samples and PCM analysis Manage time on projects effectively and efficiently Ensure the well‑being and safety of workers and building occupants where Pinchin projects are present Qualifications Diploma or degree in Construction Technology or Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science or Applied Science Three to five years of practical experience in hazardous materials (Asbestos, Mould, Lead, PCBs, etc.) and Indoor Environmental Quality Knowledge of environmental and health and safety legislation/guidelines Familiarity with building systems (structure, envelope, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) Experience reading and interpreting architectural drawings Experience working with environmental monitoring equipment Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to follow detailed instructions Excellent technical report writing skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Products Availability to work outside core business hours and rotational weekends Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurance; travel around the designated region is required Employees may be required by clients to undergo security clearances and/or drug and alcohol testing to gain access to certain job sites Benefits Challenging, rewarding leadership position with opportunities to mentor junior technical professionals Competitive compensation, benefits, and extended group benefits (we pay the premium) with no waiting period Membership in our internal Communities of Practice, a national support network for technical problem solving and collaboration led by our top technical experts Casual dress code Profit share bonuses and an RRSP Matching Program Environment that supports work‑life harmonization Various professional development and employee recognition programs Educational and professional membership dues reimbursement Employee Referral Bonus ProgramCorporate Discount Program Pinchin encourages a diverse and inclusive work environment and welcomes reasonable accommodation during any stage of the recruitment process.
