Pre-construction Coordinator (Temporary Electricity)What you will doAnalyze the plans and specifications to gain an overall understanding of the project.Develop a preliminary work schedule, including the necessary resources for the site.List the specialties, materials, subcontractors, and suppliers likely to contribute to the success of your estimate.Prepare site installation plans.Create single-line diagrams for these installations.Develop load tables for the equipment.Estimate the electrical consumption costs of the installations.Request pricing for materials.Analyze the project in detail to anticipate construction methods involving indirect costs.Build the study in the estimating software, integrating subcontracted tasks, in-house work, teams, work rates and ratios, quantities to be completed, etc.Conduct a full analysis and select pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.Review received bids and request additional ones if needed to ensure the best market prices.Negotiate and place purchase orders for site-specific materials.Maintain necessary communication with various stakeholders.Coordinate with the project manager and superintendents for the mobilization of the work team and required materials for temporary installations.Actively participate in bid meetings.This role could be for you if you haveBachelor's degree or technical diploma in electrical engineering or possess equivalent experience.2 to 5 years of experience in estimating and/or project execution.Experience in one or more of the following areas: building construction, electricity, piping, building and process mechanics.We offerRRSP with up to 5% employer matchingHybrid work model for corporate rolesEmployee stock ownership programCareer growth through real development opportunitiesTransit pass reimbursement — get to work for freeMinimum 4 weeks of vacation from day onePomerleau is a national leader in construction, delivering major projects across Canada.
