For more information about Fidelity Clearing Canada, please visit https//clearing.fidelity.ca/How You’ll Make An ImpactThe Principal Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst FCC is responsible for defining, implementing and continuously improving policies, processes and procedures that deliver consistent and reliable products and services to business and customers. This role creates, executes and documents the tests necessary to ensure that application and technical environment meets performance requirements and freedom from defects. The Principal QA Analyst ensures that quality standards are met and adhered to by using their knowledge and quality assurance methods, tools and techniques. The role will resolve, document, and report to management quality problems that arise and assure projects meet quality standards by planning, designing and executing testing and developing procedures relating to product quality within multiple projects or a single complex project.What You Will DoDesign, document, and execute test cases for functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using multiple automation frameworksConduct exploratory and ad-hoc testing for new features and releasesContribute to the continuous improvement of the automated testing frameworkIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)Automate API test cases and validate data consistency across systemsDesign and execute test cases for RESTful and SOAP APIsIdentify, log, and track software defects using Jira and ZephyrParticipate in defect triage meetings and support root cause analysisWork closely with development teams in Agile/Scrum environmentsProvide clear and concise test reports and quality metrics to stakeholdersParticipate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demosPromote QA best practices and participate in process improvement initiativesStay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and testing methodologiesWhat We’re Looking For5 Years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a combination of manual and automated testing5+ years of hands-on experience using one or more test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress etc)3+ year of experience in API testing (manual and automated)Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr)Proficient in scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or JavaFamiliarity with version control systems preferably GitHubBasic knowledge of SQL for data validation3 Years of industry experience in the Financial Services or Wealth ManagementExperience with Broadridge Dataphile would be an assetStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in scrum/Agile and understands business requirements or user storiesStrong knowledge of software testing methodologies in AgileMulti-tasker, ability to manage multiple deliverables at onceStrong relationship builder - developers, BSAs, SMEs, Scrum Masters and PMsNice to HaveExperience in performance testing (JMeter or k6)Experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber or similar toolsFamiliarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and microservices architectureEducationUniversity Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experienceISTQB certification would be an assetSome of the ways we’ll help you feel valued and supported as part of our teamFlexible working arrangements - 100% remote, hybrid, and in office optionsCompetitive total compensation, including company contributions to your group RRSP without a matching requirement from youComprehensive health benefits that start on your first day, with 100% employer-paid premiums, that include up to $5000 annually for mental health services and therapyParental leave top-up to 100% of your salary for a period of 25 weeksUp to $650 for home office equipmentGenerous time off policy, including 2 paid days annually to volunteer at a charity of your choiceDiversity and inclusion programs, including an active network of Employee Resource GroupsExtensive professional development opportunities, including access to over 11,000 training and development courses, tuition reimbursement, and monetary rewards for completing a required designation.We care a lot about fostering a compassionate, people-centric culture, and are proud to have been named one of Canada’s Top 100 employers for the last five years.Fidelity Canada is an equal opportunity employerFidelity Canada is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
