Radiological Technologist – Part Time – Fraser Canyon Hospital, Fraser Health Authority Job Summary The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and image quality, and supporting a client‑ and family‑centered care model at Fraser Canyon Hospital. Salary CAD $36.69 – $45.81 per hour. Responsibilities Perform general radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with established standards, protocols, and radiation protection practices. Obtain, enter, and maintain patient and procedural data in the Radiology Information System (RIS). Prepare patients for examinations, including explaining procedures and answering questions. Operate radiographic and imaging equipment, label records, and store digital images as required. Monitor patients during procedures and adhere to departmental safety standards. Provide input on quality improvement and risk‑management initiatives. Perform equipment quality control checks and arrange for repairs when necessary. Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms and dispose of items per hospital policy. Execute clerical duties related to patient demographics and data entry. Assist in training new staff and students through orientation and in‑service presentations. Participate in research projects and continuous quality improvement programs. Report unsafe conditions promptly to the supervisor. Carry out any additional duties assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Demonstrated knowledge of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment. Proficiency in performing radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards. Knowledge of evidence‑based practice and PACS/RIS systems. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with clients, families, and team members. Ability to operate related equipment and use a computerized client care information system. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively, establishing workload priorities. Certification in CPR techniques. Physical ability to perform all required job duties.
