Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Operations Analytics & Insights, the Sr. Data Analyst, Sales and Operations will play a key role on the Analytics team providing sophisticated analytical support to drive innovation and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities

  1. Apply machine learning methods to conduct data-driven research, identifying opportunities, and making tangible recommendations to leadership.
  2. Develop a good understanding of business needs and collaborate with other team members towards concept testing and prototype development related to Operations management reports and data requirements.
  3. Support the development, implementation, optimization, and monitoring of high impact machine learning models.
  4. Support business partners to generate informed decisions, build innovative solutions and to identify opportunities for process optimization.
  5. Work with structured and unstructured data and prepare data sets for machine learning through integration, cleaning, feature engineering, scaling and transformation of data.
  6. Leverage visualization methods to represent results and communicate outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  7. Contribute to the knowledge base with centralized documentation, ensuring adequate data governance.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Data Science.
  2. 3 to 5 Years of experience in an analytics role, with a preference for experience in a financial institution or similar industry.
  3. Strong statistical and analytical skills and interest.
  4. Demonstrated experience completing complex analysis with limited supervision.
  5. Proven experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, Alteryx and Power BI, including proficiency in libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn and Spark ML.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment and across business functions.
  7. A strong analytical mind with attention to detail, and the desire to learn and grow.
  8. Demonstrated willingness to learn and adopt new tools/techniques, demonstrated mentorship to less experienced team members.
  9. Display a sense of urgency, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables to stakeholders.
  10. Strong organizational skills, is a self-starter, and takes the initiative for self-directed learning and development.
