Position OverviewAs a Triconex Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, programming, and commissioning of Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems in oil and gas facilities. This role involves the configuration and implementation of SIS to enhance the safety and integrity of critical processes. You will work closely with engineering teams and clients to ensure that the safety systems meet both industry standards and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and program Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) for oil and gas process safety applications.Develop Functional Safety Plans, Safety Requirements Specifications (SRS), and implement Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) in accordance with IEC 61508/61511 standards.Lead the engineering and integration of SIS with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and other safety systems within oil and gas facilities.Perform hazard and risk assessments (HAZOP, LOPA) to define and refine safety system requirements.Provide technical support during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning of Triconex systems.Ensure compliance with industry standards, including IEC 61508/61511, API, and regulatory safety guidelines specific to the oil and gas industry.Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Triconex SIS, ensuring the highest level of safety and reliability for critical operations.Collaborate with project managers, process engineers, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.Develop and maintain technical documentation, including Safety Function Testing (SFT) procedures, SIS validation plans, and maintenance guidelines.Conduct safety system audits, testing, and maintenance activities to ensure ongoing system integrity.Train operators and site personnel on SIS functionality and safety protocols.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience working with Triconex or similar Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) in the oil and gas industry.Strong knowledge of process safety systems, including the application of Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) and safety lifecycle management.Experience with integrating SIS into Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and other process control platforms.Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 61508/61511, API, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.Proficiency in performing risk assessments (HAZOP, LOPA) and implementing safety measures in critical operations.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot SIS and DCS issues in high-pressure environments.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Knowledge of cybersecurity practices in industrial control systems is an asset.What We OfferCompetitive salary and performance bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage.Retirement savings plan with employer contributions.Professional development opportunities, including certifications and training in safety systems and control technologies.A collaborative and innovative work environment focused on safety and excellence in oil and gas projects #J-18808-Ljbffr
