The Role With an extensive pipeline of upcoming works, we are seeking applications for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Perth team. The role would offer you the ability to grow your career with a strong technical team around you offering support and mentoring. Reporting to the Principal Geotechnical Engineer, the Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design and analysis activities to ensure that a high standard of quality is achieved for the assigned projects. The Engineer is also responsible for providing technical input to project teams to ensure that technical standards and efficiencies are achieved and that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Key Duties and Responsibilities Supervision of geotechnical site investigations, logging, mapping and reporting. Compilation of field investigation data for input, which leads to the creation of design parameters. Preparation of geotechnical reports. Assessment of slope stability, foundation bearing capacities and settlements etc. Assessment of Soil liquefaction and seismic deformation etc. Design of ground improvement. Preparation laboratory testing schedules. Numerical modelling and analysis using software such as Slope / w, Plaxis and Flac. Our Ideal Candidate A strong foundation and expertise in soil mechanics. Demonstrated experience in geotechnical investigation and analysis of foundations, embankments and cut slopes etc. An understanding in technical aspects of geotechnical investigations, civil / geotechnical designs, documentation and civil / geotechnical projects. Excellent communication and reporting skills. A proven track record on site project management and client liaison and able to demonstrate ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders. Familiarity with use of Slope / W, Plaxis, Flac and AutoCad software will have added advantages. Commitment to travel interstate and internationally when required. A bachelor degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering. Post‑graduate qualification will be highly regarded. Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience within the civil and mining industry.
