You will work closely with a team of experts working alongside our customers on some of North America's most significant projects. Together with customers, partners, and colleagues, we enable sustainable growth where people and societies grow and flourish. We do that by co-creating sustainable and beautiful solutions that improve the quality of life for people today and many generations ahead.ResponsibilitiesDevelop coastal numerical models—including wave, hydrodynamic, sediment transport, mooring analysis, and water quality—to provide critical data and analysis that informs design and optimization of coastal structuresPerform coastal structures analysis, design, and evaluation; responsible for the preparation of calculations, drawings, work plans, schedules, and budgetsPrepare standard documents, such as technical specifications, under applicable design requirements along with engineering reports and other technical documentsLiaise with other professionals, clients, and third parties as neededWork on a diverse range of projects around the globeQualificationsHold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Coastal Engineering, with a minimum of 1 year of consulting coastal work experience in coastal engineering, focusing on numerical modelling in North AmericaBe registered as Engineering in Training in home province or have the ability to obtain registrations within 6 months of employmentHave understanding of industry-standard modelling software (e.g., Delft3D, MIKE21, SMS, or similar)Experience in using Python for programming and QGIS for geospatial analysis to support the development, automation, and validation of engineering calculations and data workflowsA place to work and so much moreAt COWI, we work together with our customers to shape a sustainable and liveable world.
